  • Today...Rain..Rain..Rain

    Yeah it was raining for my run this morning but i didn't mind. I love running in the rain..feels great.
    My running in general is feeling a lot better. Losing down to 120 has really helped me and my time.
    I know i'll place first or second in my age group in my next run which is one of my faves. The Great Pumpkin 5k run on the 24th of October. Then i have the Turkey Trot in Charlotte on Thanksgiving. This is my all time fave race. I never place because it's such a large race but i love seeing everyone. I plan on buying a real cute running outfit for both races to celebrate my weight loss.
    Today's Workout was a 5 mile run and i'll do full body weights this afternoon.

  • July 5

    Wow..Talk about a long time away..lol
    Still doing good. Running/lifting..all that jazz.
    Well not running as much. I'm either in it 100% or i do intervals on the treadmill.
    For the last couple of weeks i have been doing ITrain cardio on my treadmill. Itrain is a great site. They have all kinds of great workouts that you can download. Just running on the treadmill can be soooo dull.These workouts have great music and instruct you on how fast to run..when to take the grade up or down..it makes it a little more intresting..

    We had a fun 4th. Just sat outside and watched the neighbors who put on a great fireworks show every year. Hell beats spending my money on it...lol

  • After taking about 10 days off from training i have lost a bit of strength.
    Today's workout felt good just bit bit harder than usual.
    I had to take my squat weight down from 120 to 90

    Squats
    3x8x90

    Incline DB Press
    3x8x25e

    BB Lunge
    3x8x40

    Lat Pull Down
    ok..i workout at home so this is how i pull this move off
    I take a band wrap it over my pull up bar and pull down
    3x8

    Weight Bench Sep Ups
    3x12..each side x8lb ball

    Bench Dips
    3x8

    Deadlifts
    3x8x80

    DB Upright Rows
    I need to find a replacement these make my shoulder hurt
    I had to take the weight down low
    3x8x15e

    DB Calf Raises
    DB on each knee while sitting on bench
    3x8x25e


    DB curls

    Cardio
    On treadmill
    All i have to say is this workout kicked my a**
    I did Linda's Cardio Shuffle..OMG..
    Once i got my balance i did great..

    Yes..rest time is over and it's time to start back working out..

    Thank god..i was going crazy from resting..you can rest to much..lol

  • Avid runner/Lifter Been running since 2002. I've run two half marathons and a ton of 5-10k's. I run about 30-40 miles a week. I also love weight lifting. It's hard to balance the two sometimes but i try..i usually lift full body 3 times a week. I'm 42 years old and i hate to say but i'm in the best shape of my life now. I wish i had been this into fitness when i was in my 20's..but it's never to late.
